Another beautiful day with Kay and Joe Sanders. At their house at eight o'clock this morning. Headed up to Glacier National Park. If we thought yesterday was the best, we were wrong! The "Going to the Sun Road" was even better! The most beautiful and steepest road we have ever been on! Good thing Joe drove so we could all just take it in. Stopped at Logan Pass at the top and then down the other side and up to Manny Glacier. Had our usual picnic lunch there and returned the same way. WOW!Hugged them good bye at eight o'clock tonight after a nice dinner of pizza and beverages. We are going to let the pictures tell the rest.

Information on Glacier National Park

by maf
Glacier National Park has some of the most spectacular scenery in America. The park hosts more than a million acres. If there's one defining feature of this park it's the Going-to-the-Sun Road. This spectacular 50-mile highway clings to the edge of the world as cars—and drivers watch the scenery unfold beyond their white knuckles as they drive along a road that defies words. Mountain goats can be seen clinging to rugged, glacier carved peaks.
In 1932 Glacier and Waterton Lakes National Park (in Canada) were designated Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park and both have been designated as Biosphere Reserves and in 1995, were recognized as a World Heritage Site.
